Courier

Courier (1986) is a Soviet comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Karen Shakhnazarov. Ivan Mirosnikov (Fyodor Dunayevsky) has just finished school, failed his university entrance exam, and has no plan. With military service on the horizon, he takes a messenger job at a Moscow editorial office.

A delivery lands him in the apartment of Professor Kuznetsov (Oleg Basilashvili). The professor looks down on the boy; Ivan, on an impulse, claims to be dating the professor's daughter Katya (Anastasia Nemolyayeva). To his surprise, Katya backs him up. What started as a provocation slowly turns into something neither expected, while the adults around them keep explaining how life works to people who stopped listening.
