Synopsis
The Time of the Happy (2026) is a Russian family drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Ivan and Marina Schastykh — "schastlivye" means "the happy ones" in Russian — get what they spent years waiting for right as the Soviet Union starts coming apart: a flat of their own, triplets to fill it. Apartment thirteen.
The 1990s do not care about credentials. Ivan, once the youngest PhD candidate at Moscow State University, ends up tutoring students and running the household. Marina, played by Olga Lerman, earns more at a street stall than any degree could deliver. Tikhon Zhiznevskiy plays a man who built his whole identity around being the sharpest person in the room and now has to figure out what he is without that. Then 2012 arrives.
