Synopsis

To their neighbors in a Washington D.C. suburb, the Jenningses look like any other couple navigating early-1980s America: two kids, a travel agency, Friday-night dinners with the guy next door. That guy is Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich), an FBI counterintelligence agent hunting Soviet moles. What Stan doesn't know is that Elizabeth and Philip are KGB officers who've been operating under deep cover since before Reagan took office. Every mission pulls them deeper into a life that gets harder to separate from the one they're pretending to live.
Creator Joe Weisberg spent years at the CIA before writing the show, and the procedural detail shows — no car chases through Red Square, just the slow grind of maintaining covers and the domestic damage it causes.
