The Night

The Night (2021) is an Iranian-American horror film from Kourosh Ahari you can watch online on iFILM. A young Iranian couple and their baby end up stranded overnight in a strange Los Angeles hotel.

Driving home from a dinner with friends, Babak and Neda pull into the nearest place to crash. The desk clerk is too calm, a child cries somewhere down an empty hall, and someone keeps knocking. The longer the night drags on, the more the hotel seems to feed on the things this couple won't say to each other.

Shahab Hosseini — a Cannes best-actor winner for The Salesman — anchors the film, and Ahari builds his scares from silence and repetition rather than gore.
