The Magic Flute

Seventeen-year-old Tim leaves London for the Austrian Alps to enroll at the legendary Mozart boarding school. The elite academy comes with its own rivalries and intrigue, but one day Tim finds a hidden door and tumbles into the fantastical world of The Magic Flute. By day he rehearses for a concert and fights for a place among gifted classmates; by night he risks his life to free Princess Pamina.

His mentor is played by F. Murray Abraham — the Oscar-winning Salieri from Amadeus, which is almost a private joke in a film about Mozart — alongside Iwan Rheon of Game of Thrones. The arias are sung by real opera soloists rather than dubbed actors. It plays as family viewing and works for anyone wanting to hand a kid the classics without the boredom.
