1945 (2017) is a Hungarian black-and-white drama directed by Ferenc Török, available to watch online on iFILM. A small provincial town is preparing for a wedding — the kind of ordinary summer day that looks like peacetime finally resuming. Then two orthodox Jewish men step off the train with sealed wooden crates, and the town's sense of routine fractures instantly.

No one knows what is in the crates. Everyone knows what the town did. Török tells the story almost without dialogue: guilt spreads through glances, hurried excuses and last-minute decisions made by people who had convinced themselves the past was behind them.
