Synopsis
Dream Home (維多利亞壹號, 2010) is a Hong Kong horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Director Pang Ho-cheung frames the slasher as an economic transaction: Cheng Lai-sheung (Josie Ho) has spent her entire adult life saving for a harbour-view apartment she first wanted as a child, watching Hong Kong property prices pull further away with every passing year.
Her workaround is to lower the value of the building herself — by killing off the current tenants until no one else wants to move in. Pang cuts between Cheng's methodical present-day campaign and flashbacks that explain how she got here, and the structure gives the violence an uncomfortable weight. Eason Chan co-stars.
