Karlson is back at Malysh's window, and this time the target is the household's new, iron-fisted nanny Froken Bok. Faina Ranevskaya's voice work turned the role into one of Soviet animation's most-quoted performances — all magnificent exasperation, dignity lost to fake ghosts, and eventual involuntary reform.
