Synopsis
Conspiracy (2001) is an HBO/BBC co-production you can watch online on iFILM — a historical drama that reconstructs a single meeting on the morning of January 20, 1942, at a villa outside Berlin. Fifteen Nazi officials gathered over food and brandy to coordinate the bureaucratic machinery of mass murder. The conference lasted ninety minutes.
Director Frank Pierson and screenwriter Loring Mandel worked from the sole surviving copy of the Wannsee Protocol. Kenneth Branagh plays SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich — charismatic, ruthless, utterly in command of the room. Stanley Tucci is Adolf Eichmann, dutiful and meticulous. Colin Firth brings uneasy tension as an official who keeps asking questions no one else will raise.
