Synopsis
Taiga Novel (Граница. Таёжный роман, 2000) is a drama series directed by Alexander Mitta, available to watch online on iFILM. The setting is a small military garrison on the Soviet-Chinese border in the Far East, the 1970s — three officers' families living in each other's pockets, deep in the taiga and far from anywhere else.
Young officer Ivan (Marat Basharov) falls for Marina (Olga Budina), who is already married to his unpredictable colleague Nikita (Alexei Guskov). There is no privacy here, and no easy way out. Renata Litvinova, Mikhail Efremov and Andrei Panin round out a strong ensemble.
