Ancient Detective (侠探简不知, 2020) is a Chinese wuxia mystery series you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Ma Yiheng and starring Yu Jiwei as Jian Buzhi — an amnesiac investigator working a case that is very much his own.
Eight years ago, the martial arts world converged to bring down a killer named Wang Hua, who had gone unchallenged until then. One man managed to defeat him. The body was never recovered. Now Jian Buzhi, who lost large portions of his memory, is pulling at that thread: his father died in connection with those events, and he intends to find out how. He has a loyal ally, a quick mind, and a woman who keeps appearing at convenient moments with inconvenient amounts of knowledge.
