"Mayakovsky: Two Days" (2011) is a Russian biographical series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Olena Demyanenko and Dmitry Tomashpolsky. It focuses on the forty-eight hours before the poet's fatal shot in April 1930 — and on the years that led there.

Andrei Chernyshov plays Mayakovsky as a man ground down by contradictions: celebrated voice of the revolution, privately exhausted by love, censorship and a creative impasse he couldn't break. Dmitry Nagiev and Karen Badalov are among those who orbit him in the final days. The series moves between the countdown and flashbacks, assembling the collapse in pieces — the quarrels, the failures, the estrangement from people who once believed the same things.
