Synopsis
Pluribus (2025), Season 1 — nine-episode sci-fi drama, watch online on iFILM. An extraterrestrial virus has rewritten most of humanity into a peaceful, contented hive mind called the Others, and Carol Sturka — an Albuquerque novelist — is one of only thirteen people it never touched.
The Others mean well. They answer every question honestly, fulfill requests cheerfully, and bear no grudges. For Carol, this turns out to be its own kind of horror. She starts digging into how the Joining happened, whether it can be reversed, and what exactly the Others mean when they calmly mention that they will eventually learn to assimilate the holdouts too. Scattered elsewhere, other resisters are doing the same — some by confrontation, some by going underground — and the show gradually pulls them toward each other.
