Synopsis

Sam has quietly shed most of her Indian identity to blend in at school — different lunch, different name pronunciation, different distance from her mother. When her former best friend starts acting erratic and insists something is hunting her, Sam writes it off. Then the friend vanishes. What follows is rooted in Hindu mythology: the entity is a pishach, a flesh-hungry demon that grows stronger on grief and resentment. Megan Suri and Betty Gabriel lead the cast.
