Synopsis
Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild (2011) is a Korean animated feature you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Oh Sung-yoon and based on a children's novel that sold over a million copies across South Korea.
Leafie has spent her entire life in a battery cage on a chicken farm. She escapes. Outside she meets a fox, a flock of wild ducks, and a lone duck egg. She hatches it and decides to raise the duckling as her own — despite having no idea what ducks actually need.
At 93 minutes it works for all ages. Kids get the chase and the animals; adults get something sharper underneath — a story about what freedom actually costs. Stream Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild online on iFILM.
