Synopsis

The warrior Ilya is bound for Kiev, taking on feats great and small along the road. Near the city walls he meets Nightingale the Robber — whose whistle topples trees and terrifies whole villages, the chief threat to Kiev's peace. The townsfolk beg the hero to stay on as governor, but Ilya has no time: the road and a fight against dark forces lie ahead.
