Synopsis
Griffin in Summer (2025) is Nicholas Colia's indie coming-of-age comedy, ready to watch online on iFILM. Fourteen-year-old Griffin Nafly is certain he's the most important playwright of his generation.
He spends the summer drilling his friends through a deadly serious "grown-up" play, proud as can be. Then his mom hires Brad, a 25-year-old handyman, and the boy genius's tidy world falls apart. Griffin develops a crush, gets jealous, rewrites his play, and picks up a few lessons the theater could never teach him. Everett Blunck makes him cringey and endearing at once.
The cast also features Owen Teague, Melanie Lynskey and Kathryn Newton, and Colia's debut drew warm notices at Tribeca. It's a sharp, slightly prickly comedy about teenage ambition and a first crush — made for fans of festival films with no sugar coating. Stream Griffin in Summer (2025) online on iFILM.
