Synopsis
The Fulcrum (2025) is a Russian melodrama by Alexandr Andreev that you can watch online on iFILM. A successful film-industry man heads back to his small hometown for his sister's wedding, dragging a real movie star along to dazzle everyone he left behind.
His real motive is petty. He plans to humiliate the groom-to-be — Shurik, a good-natured, overweight slacker he has always looked down on. Then a fight with his actress companion blows up the whole triumphant-homecoming script. Stripped of his glossy prop, the smug egotist is suddenly left alone with the people he once outgrew and with a past he never settled.
Andreev builds an intimate drama about a man rethinking what actually matters: a self-absorbed macho slowly searching for solid ground under his feet. Gela Meskhi plays a character whose performance of confidence falls apart the moment the audience walks away.
