Annička inherits a creaky old house in the border town of Medov, complete with a greenhouse and a long-shuttered dental surgery the neighbors won't go near. She isn't spooked. Guided by an old man's wisdom and a rare Peruvian herb growing under the glass, she works out how to treat teeth without any pain — and the town's children flock to her. That doesn't sit well with the established dentist, who has the schoolteacher and a sugar-candy tycoon on his side and plenty of strings to pull. It's a warm, slightly old-fashioned tale about nerve, trusting the strange, and kids who believe in wonders more readily than grown-ups. Easy watching for the whole family.
