Synopsis
Framed! A Sicilian Murder Mystery (2022), Season 1 is an Italian crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes about two Palermo TV repairmen who walk into a routine house call and find a corpse instead.
That is where the trouble starts. Salvo and Valentino, brothers-in-law and hopeless partners, decide the smart move is to wipe away every trace they were ever there. It is not the smart move. Each attempt to cover their tracks digs the hole deeper — an incriminating parking ticket they need to make vanish, then the late Gambino's gangsters, who suddenly have jobs for them. By the midpoint the police have flipped both men into double agents, and now they are lying to the mob, the cops and their own wives all at once.
The Sicilian duo Ficarra and Picone write, direct and star, and the humour is gloriously regional: farce, mistaken identity, little men flailing against a big mess.
