Synopsis
Sight Unseen (2024) is a crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Homicide detective Tess Avery loses her sight after an incident that nearly kills her partner, and walks away from the one job that ever meant anything to her.
Asking for help isn't in Tess's nature. Out of sheer desperation she downloads an assistance app and gets paired with Sunny Patel, a professional seeing-eye guide and agoraphobe who lives three thousand miles away and rarely leaves his apartment. Through a hidden camera and an earpiece, Sunny becomes her eyes, talking her down stairwells, across streets and into crime scenes. Off the books, the two start picking at the cold cases Tess abandoned when she quit.
Tess is played by Dolly Lewis, a legally blind actress, and that casting gives the show a credibility most procedurals fake. This Canadian series from director John Fawcett suits anyone after a crime story with an unusual investigative gimmick and real chemistry between two loners at opposite ends of the country.
