Synopsis
Liberty (2018) is a Danish drama-crime series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Mikael Marcimain. The story unfolds among Scandinavian expats in Tanzania — businessmen, NGO workers, and development-sector officials who have carved out comfortable lives in sun-drenched villas.
Each character plays a different game: one siphons aid money for personal gain, another genuinely tries to change something on the ground, a third is mostly running from a life back home. What unites them is a shared blindness to the people living around them. Connie Nielsen, Carsten Bjørnlund and Sofie Gråbøl lead the ensemble cast.
