The Tower (Seasons 1–3)

The Tower (2021) is a British crime series you can watch online on iFILM. The opening is brutal: a veteran beat cop and a teenage girl plunge from the roof of a south-east London tower block. Left up there are a five-year-old boy and rookie officer Lizzie Griffiths — and within hours, Lizzie vanishes.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Collins, played by Gemma Whelan, is brought in to make sense of it. She has to find Lizzie before harm comes to her and work out what really happened on that roof. The deeper Collins digs, the clearer it gets that her own colleagues aren't telling her everything.

Adapted from the novels of Kate London, a former Metropolitan Police officer, the show wears that experience plainly: the procedure, the exhaustion and the moral compromises come without gloss.
