Rumours are spreading that Grand Admiral Thrawn — the Empire's most dangerous strategist, long presumed dead — is planning a return. The search pulls both women beyond the edges of the known galaxy, while General Hera Syndulla runs political cover with the New Republic and risks her command to keep them in the field. Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker in flashback sequences — and those episodes carry the season's emotional weight.
