Synopsis
The Book of Boba Fett (2021), Season 1 — 7 episodes on Disney+, watch online on iFILM. The galaxy's most recognizable bounty hunter is done taking orders: Boba Fett and Fennec Shand claim Jabba the Hutt's old territory on Tatooine and learn what it costs to hold it.
Two timelines run through the season. In flashback, Fett crawls out of the Sarlacc, is captured by Tusken Raiders, and over weeks earns enough standing among them to call them his tribe. In the present, he and Shand face the Hutt twins moving in on their turf, a Pyke Syndicate tightening its grip on the spice trade, and locals who would rather answer to no one. Unexpected allies arrive mid-season. The series is most compelling when it slows down: the action works, but the quieter scenes — Fett absorbing a code of honor from people the Empire ignored — are what lift this above a standard spinoff.
