Synopsis
Season 2 of Pinky and the Brain (1996) — watch online on iFILM — runs sixteen episodes and starts bending the show's own format. The premise holds; almost everything else shifts.
Brain's schemes grow stranger and more self-aware. He builds a papier-mâché replica of the Earth to ship all of humanity off the real one, enlists a cosmic pen pal who turns out to eat brains, and produces a tearjerker film designed to make the world too sad to resist him. Pinky writes a letter to a newspaper and accidentally triggers his own presidential campaign. The episode "Megalomaniacs Anonymous" goes furthest: Brain genuinely decides he no longer wants world domination and opens a support group for recovering megalomaniacs. Later, a cloning accident fuses both mice's DNA and produces a third character entirely. More experimental than the first run — and sharper for it.
