Synopsis
Amazing Stories (2020), Season 1 is a sci-fi anthology you can watch online on iFILM — five standalone tales with no running plot to keep up with. Steven Spielberg, together with Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, revives the classic showcase series, and each episode stands on its own.
There's no through-line. What ties the hour together is a single notion: drop an ordinary person somewhere the usual rules stop applying. Sam finds a time portal in the storm cellar of an Iowa farmhouse and lands in 1919. A grandfather and his grandson are changed by a ring that arrives sixty years after it was ordered from a comic book. A teenage girl tries to know her mother again after the woman wakes from a coma with no memory. And a WWII pilot crashes out of the sky into present-day Ohio. Five sketches, ranging from quiet melodrama to gentle dread.
