Christina Ricci plays Anna; Liam Neeson is Eliot Deacon, the funeral director who claims he can speak with the deceased and ease them toward the grave. Anna refuses to believe her heart has stopped. She screams, she bargains, she grabs at any proof she's still breathing, while Deacon insists her terror of dying is the real sickness he's there to cure.
