Synopsis
'Allo 'Allo! (1984), Season 9 is the BBC wartime farce you can watch online on iFILM — six episodes that close out René Artois's café in occupied Nouvion.
This is the final run, and liberation is on the doorstep. The Colonel and Gruber are back from Spain, René is presumed dead again and gets a parade thrown in his honour, then the communists kidnap him before he can enjoy it. Herr Flick and Von Smallhausen disguise themselves as the waitresses to ransack the place, German schemes keep tripping over the town's Fishmonger's Parade, and the whole muddle builds toward the moment British troops finally march in.
David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd wrap their long-running comedy where it always pointed: the same mistaken identities, hidden paintings and mangled accents, now aimed straight at the end of the occupation. Best enjoyed by viewers who followed the show from the first Fallen Madonna gag. Stream 'Allo 'Allo! Season 9 online on iFILM.
