Season 1
When the world turned its back, they had each other.
Synopsis
It's a Sin (2021), Season 1 is a Channel 4 drama you can watch online on iFILM — five episodes that open in London, September 1981, as a group of friends move into one flat and throw themselves at adult life.
The story jumps forward year by year, 1981 to 1991. Ritchie arrives from the provinces chasing the stage, Roscoe walks out on a strict family, Colin learns a trade, and their shared home, the Pink Palace, becomes a refuge. Then an illness reaches that world before anyone can name it or treat it. Jill is the first to grasp what's happening, and she takes on the work others flinch from. Friendship, desire and dread sit right next to each other.
Russell T Davies wrote a partly personal account of a generation, and its strength is that it refuses to turn loss into a lecture: these kids keep laughing and living hard to the end. Heavy, yet warm. Stream It's a Sin Season 1 online on iFILM.
