Pam & Tommy (2022), Season 1 is a fact-based dramedy you can watch online on iFILM — eight episodes reconstructing the mid-nineties scandal around a stolen private tape belonging to Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.

The whole story fits in one season, and it moves from a grudge to a wildfire. It opens on Rand Gauthier, a contractor stiffed on his pay, who hauls a safe out of the couple's mansion to get even. Then comes the four-day whirlwind: Pam and Tommy meet, marry, and barely come up for air. After that the tape changes hands, lands on the infant internet, and becomes the first viral video anyone had ever seen. The show runs two registers at once — broad comedy on Rand's side of the camera, and a far sharper drama on Pamela's, since the fallout grinds her down harder than it ever does him.

This is a Hulu production, and the performances are the real draw. Lily James disappears under the prosthetics; Sebastian Stan and Seth Rogen anchor the men's half of the tale.
