Season 1
At the edge of the Final Frontier, the Universe's greatest mystery is about to unfold.
Synopsis
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), Season 1 — watch all 19 episodes online on iFILM. Commander Benjamin Sisko takes charge of an abandoned Cardassian space station orbiting Bajor — and almost immediately discovers a stable wormhole into the entirely uncharted Gamma Quadrant.
The first season is episodic by design. Kira Nerys, ex-resistance fighter, has to learn what it means to enforce rules she didn't write. Odo investigates every crime on the station while knowing nothing about where his species comes from. Quark gets unexpectedly named Grand Nagus and nearly loses his life to the promotion. Gamma Quadrant visitors arrive with novel problems every few episodes. Near the season's end, Duet — a bottle episode about a Cardassian who may or may not be a war criminal — requires no effects budget and no action sequence. It's one of the strongest hours in the franchise.
DS9 always ran darker than The Next Generation. Stream Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Season 1 online on iFILM.
