Synopsis
Blood Machines (2020) is a French sci-fi horror you can watch online on iFILM — a "cosmic opera" that runs under an hour. Two space bounty hunters corner a rogue artificial intelligence as it fights to break free of its ship.
When the vessel dies, the spirit of a young woman rises from the wreck, as if the machine had carried a soul all along. The hunters drop their original target and chase the ghost across the galaxy instead. Directors Raphaël Hernandez and Savitri Joly-Gonfard built the whole thing around neon synthwave and eighties retro-futurism, so it plays more like an album brought to life than a conventional narrative.
