Synopsis

The year is 2120. Five corporations divide Earth and the solar system. When the deep-space research vessel USCSS Maginot crashes on the surface, a Wunderkind recovery crew searches the wreckage for survivors. They find something else. Wendy — a young woman whose consciousness was uploaded into a synthetic body — discovers she can communicate with the creatures in ways no one designed her to. Corporate rivalry between Wunderkind and Yutani immediately turns the discovery into a leverage point. Factions fracture. Loyalties invert.
