Synopsis
Hollywood (2020), Season 1 is Ryan Murphy's seven-episode drama you can watch online on iFILM, set in the dream factory as it rebuilds after the war.
A handful of newcomers chase the screen by any means. Jack Castello, back from service, takes a gas-station job that pumps more than fuel; Camille keeps hitting the wall of roles written only for Black actresses; would-be director Raymond and screenwriter Archie fight to get a picture made that the studio would rather bury. Studio chief Ace Amberg, a slippery agent named Henry, producers and their after-hours parties — the machine grinds dreams down, and this group decides to rewrite the rules instead. It all builds toward Oscar night, where the stakes run well past anyone's career.
Murphy reimagines old Hollywood as a what-if: same era, different hands on the levers. Stream Hollywood Season 1 online on iFILM.
