Synopsis
Seventh Moon (2008) is a Hong Kong–US horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Eduardo Sánchez, who co-directed The Blair Witch Project. Amy Smart and Tim Chiou play American newlyweds visiting China during the Hungry Ghost Festival — the seventh lunar month, when the dead are said to walk among the living.
Their driver vanishes after dropping them at an unfamiliar village. The festival is real, the locals are gone, and something is in the dark outside. Sánchez shoots handheld in near-blackness, keeping the geography deliberately disorienting; the film earns its scares without relying on gore.
