About
Synopsis
The Young Messiah (2016) is a religious drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh. The premise is unusual: it imagines Jesus as a seven-year-old boy who doesn't yet grasp who he is.
The family leaves Egypt for Nazareth, and along the road the child keeps brushing up against the inexplicable — a healing here, a death there, fear in the eyes of strangers. He asks questions Mary and Joseph are too afraid to answer. Adam Greaves-Neal carries the title role, while Sean Bean plays the Roman officer sent to track the boy down. Adapted from Anne Rice's novel Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt, it trades spectacle for a quiet, child's-eye view. Stream The Young Messiah online on iFILM.
