Synopsis
Watch online on iFILM as Chris Rock: Kill the Messenger (2008) brings the comedian's fifth HBO special to the screen. It is stitched together from three stops on his world tour — London, New York and Johannesburg — each shot on a different night, each with Rock in a different suit.
The set lands right in the middle of the 2008 election. Rock picks apart whether the country is ready for a black president, then turns on George W. Bush, gas prices, dead-end jobs, ringtones and the absurdity of paying for bottled water. The back half digs into sex, relationships and who actually gets to say a certain word.
