Bat★21 (1988) is an American war drama drawn from actual events in Vietnam — watch it online on iFILM. Gene Hackman plays Lt. Col. Iceal Hambleton, a weapons analyst who has spent his entire career studying war on paper. Shot down over enemy-held jungle, he's suddenly the one who needs saving.

His only link out is Air Force recon pilot Bartholomew Clark, played by Danny Glover, who tracks him from the air and talks him through the terrain. No helicopter can reach him — the ground is too hot. So Hambleton does something unexpected: he plots his escape route using golf course references, a code the enemy can't crack. Clark calls in the coordinates. The two men build something close to trust without ever being in the same room.
