One turn later, their house is hurtling through deep space and there is no pause button.

Every card they draw triggers a new disaster: meteor showers punch through the ceiling, lizard-like aliens called Zorgons hunt them deck by deck, and a malfunctioning robot tears through the living room. Their teenage sister Lisa (Kristen Stewart) is frozen in cryosleep, dad (Tim Robbins) is miles away at the office, and the only help comes from a stranded astronaut (Dax Shepard) who got trapped in the game years before them. Josh Hutcherson and Jonah Bobo carry the whole film on real sibling chemistry — the bickering feels lived-in, not scripted. The movie adapts Chris Van Allsburg's book, written by the same author who created Jumanji.
