Synopsis

A sadist who calls himself Ramrod beats a working girl to death. Vice detective Tom Walsh leans on her friend — a single mother hustling the strip under the name Princess, played by Season Hubley — to bait a trap. It only half holds: Ramrod breaks loose during the arrest and starts hunting the woman who gave him up. Wings Hauser plays the psychopath with such venom that the role still gets named among the genre's most repellent, and his howling opening-credits theme song is its own piece of cult lore. From there it's a race against sunrise. Grimy, jittery neo-noir with no sermon and no guaranteed happy ending — pure red meat for fans of hard 1980s genre cinema.
