Line of Duty

Line of Duty (2019) is a British-American action thriller with Aaron Eckhart that you can watch online on iFILM. Cop Frank Penny is already on thin ice when the police chief's eleven-year-old daughter is snatched. Frank goes rogue, chases the suspect without authorization, and shoots him dead — only to realize the girl's location died with the kidnapper.

With the clock running and his superiors furious, Frank teams up with Ava Brooks (Courtney Eaton), a live-streaming journalist whose phone camera is broadcasting his every move to thousands of viewers in real time. That audience includes someone who wants Frank off the street for good. The case also turns out to be messier than a straightforward abduction.

Director Steven C. Miller keeps things moving fast enough that the low budget rarely shows. Giancarlo Esposito rounds out the cast as the police chief caught between procedure and desperation.
