Synopsis
The Tank (Der Tiger, 2025) — watch online on iFILM this German war film directed by Dennis Gansel, following a five-man Tiger tank crew ordered behind enemy lines on the Eastern Front in 1943. The mission: extract a missing officer from a secret bunker in Soviet-held territory.
The route there is pure attrition. No-man's land stretches in every direction, the Wehrmacht's supply of methamphetamine keeps the men moving, and the longer they drive the harder it becomes to tell where the mission ends and the breaking point begins. Laurence Rupp leads the cast, with André Hennicke in support; the steel interior of the tank functions almost as a sealed chamber, forcing the five characters into each other's space and fears.
