Synopsis
Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) is a supernatural horror film you can watch online on iFILM. It's a prequel, set before the first two movies, and the directing debut of franchise writer Leigh Whannell.
Teenager Quinn Brenner reaches out to her dead mother. Something else answers. A hungry presence latches onto her from the dark, and a simple attempt at contact turns into a hunt. Desperate, the family turns to psychic Elise Rainier, the same medium who appears later in the series. Elise had walked away from the gift after a séance nearly killed her, yet she can't say no. Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye and Dermot Mulroney lead the cast.
Whannell, who created the franchise with James Wan, stepped behind the camera here to tell Elise's origin: how she found her way back to the dead and why.
