Armed and Dangerous

Armed and Dangerous (1986) is a slapstick comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Mark L. Lester and built around the double act of John Candy and Eugene Levy. A disgraced cop and a fired lawyer stumble their way into security guard jobs — and immediately into a union corruption scandal.

Frank Dooley (Candy) was set up on a theft charge and booted from the police force. Norman Kane (Levy) lost his law career to sheer incompetence. Together they are spectacularly unqualified for the one job they can actually get. When they accidentally uncover graft running through their security agency and its union bosses, the only thing standing between the crooks and victory is the pair's magnificent uselessness.

The film belongs entirely to its leads. Candy's big physical energy and Levy's anxious, twitchy presence bounce off each other with genuine comic timing — and that's the real draw, not the plot.
