Domina (Seasons 1–2)

Domina (2021) is Sky's historical drama, and you can watch every season online in good quality. It follows Livia Drusilla, a girl born into Rome's old aristocracy whose whole world falls apart the moment Julius Caesar is assassinated. To survive, she will turn herself into the most dangerous woman in the republic.

First Livia (played as an adult by Kasia Smutniak) flees the city alongside her republican father, who backed the losing side. Then she comes back — and marries Octavian, the future emperor Augustus (Matthew McNulty), whose family helped destroy her own. What follows is more than three decades of court maneuvering: poison, marriages arranged like contracts, the long fight over who inherits Rome, children to be raised up or spent on politics. Liam Cunningham and Claire Forlani fill out the cast.

Creator Simon Burke tells Rome's story not from the Senate floor but from the women's quarters, where power changes hands through patience and a whisper.
