Synopsis
Joanna Hogg's drama The Souvenir: Part II (2021) is available to watch online on iFILM. This continuation of her semi-autobiographical story finds film student Julie alone after a wrecking affair, choosing to turn that relationship into her graduation project.
She sets out to sort fact from the elaborate lies her older lover built around her. On set she reassembles her own memories, argues with tutors and actors, rewrites scenes — slowly shaping private grief into a movie. Honor Swinton Byrne leads, with her real mother Tilda Swinton beside her, plus Charlie Heaton, Harris Dickinson and Richard Ayoade.
