Synopsis
We Bury the Dead (2026) is an Australian horror thriller directed by Zak Hilditch — watch it online on iFILM. Daisy Ridley plays Ava, a woman who joins a volunteer recovery team dispatched after a military disaster. She is looking for her missing husband. What the team finds does not match any casualty list.
The dead are moving. Ava, alongside fellow volunteer Clay (Brenton Thwaites) and soldier Riley (Mark Coles Smith), quickly realises that the mission to recover bodies has turned into something far harder to survive. Shot on location in the Western Australian bush — flat, dry, nowhere to run — the 95-minute film was produced with support from Screen Australia and ScreenWest. Tagline: "Volunteers needed."
