David is handed what looks like a straightforward errand: collect a mysterious package from South America and get it delivered. The package, it turns out, is a baby marsupilami — an extremely energetic, tail-heavy animal from Franquin's beloved Belgian comic strip who treats every room like a demolition site. From that moment, everything becomes a chase.

The film goes for full-throttle family entertainment without dumbing things down for either end of the audience. The gag rate is high, the cast clearly enjoys the mayhem, and the creature itself has enough personality to carry scenes without speaking a word.
