Synopsis
The Mimic (2017) is a South Korean horror film you can watch online on iFILM. It draws on a regional legend: a creature from Mount Jangsan that copies human voices to lure people out of their homes.
Still broken by the disappearance of her son, a grieving mother finds a lost girl in the woods and takes her in. The longer the child stays, the less sure she is that the girl is human at all. Director Huh Jung builds his scares out of sound — voices you can't trust drifting out of the dark. Yum Jung-ah anchors the film as a woman coming apart, and her grief is what keeps the tension wound tight.
